David Cassidy drunk driving arrest
Former star of “The Partridge Family” TV series and teen idol David Cassidy had been just lately arrested. He was suspected of driving under the influence when he was pulled over. CBS reports that he had been supposedly swerving through lanes causing the Florida Highway Patrol officer to pull him over. He took a field sobriety test, which he failed. He also took two Breathalyzer tests, and his breath analysis revealed a blood alcohol level of 0.139 and 0.141, which is alleged to mean an improper analysis. The arresting officer within the David Cassidy DUI also found a half empty bottle of bourbon in the Mercedes he had been driving. He can't be compared to Paris Hilton by any means. Of course, the evidence doesn't look good for Cassidy either.
Admitting to just a little bit from Cassidy
Cassidy maintains he had been attending a funeral and had a single glass of wine with his midday meal. He also said he took hydrocodone. Only one was taken though. The only alcohol Cassidy will admit to had been his one glass of wine. He says no other alcohol went into his system before he was arrested Wednesday. He posted $350 bail, and was released early on Nov. 4. After being Keith Partridge in "The Partridge Family" series, Cassidy had been a teen pop star well known. Other former child stars have had their own battles with the bottle, as “Partridge Family” co-star Danny Bonaduce had his own high profile struggles.
Fighting in court
The representatives of David Cassidy say he will fight the charges. He would not be the first child star to have substance abuse troubles should he be convicted.
