Ford and The Amazing Race team up for Focus Rally: America
News from AutoBlog.com is that “The Amazing Race” is putting some high octane into Ford’s promotion of their new Focus model with the Hulu series “Focus Rally: America”. The “interactive road rally” will feature the cutting edge tech of the brand new 2012 Ford Motors Focus. Hulu will air “Focus Rally: America” beginning Feb. 1, 2011. That’s when the 2012 Ford Focus is set to hit U.S. dealers.
“Focus Rally: America” is infomercial and reality exhibit
”Focus Rally: America” and “Fiesta Movement” were both online programming things Ford Motors did. Of course, “Focus Rally: America” focuses more on the real-time reality show than anything else which is fairly new when it comes to automotives. A cross-country road rally can have six groups of two people all trying to win within the 2012 Ford Motors Focus rally. 10 Ford Motors Focus automobiles could be given away to the supporters of the winning team. The winners could be able to redeem $100,000. The team dynamic could be familiar to viewers of “The Amazing Race.” The interactivity element is being touted as “a real game-changer within the real life world,” claims “The Amazing Race” co-creator Elise Doganieri.
Have fun when you are watching
If you observe, “Focus Rally: The United States,” you can, says AutoBlog.com, follow it three ways. Five days a week the episodes can be available. Hulu will keep them going. Facebook, Twitter along with YouTube may also be places where supporters can adhere to their favorite 2012 Ford Motors Focus rally team. Supporters can have fun also. There will be many interactive challenges available to the fans. Advertising the 2012 Ford Focus is the real reason why the programming is going on. Features such as Ford Motors SYNC, MyFord Touch along with the Navigation System are likely to be advertised.
The casting call is on-going
According to Matt VanDyke, Ford’s director of United States of America Marketing, the automaker is looking for individuals ready for a “once-in-a-lifetime cross-country adventure.” Everyone who applies needs to be good on camera and have a social media following. Applications including video will be accepted via mid-November at focusrally.com or at one of 11 in-person auditions held in Los Angeles, Tampa, Austin, Boston, Denver, Seattle, Houston, Orlando, Las Vegas, Chicago and New York.
