The DeLorean DMC-12 was an American pop culture gem of the 1980s, but John DeLorean nevertheless had trouble maintaining operating capital. According to reports, DeLorean was filmed in what appeared to be a drug trafficking transaction, where he accepted money in exchange for the illicit substance. Because entrapment was supposedly used in this, DeLorean was cleared of all charges.
