Does Obama really need $200 million per day for India trip

Starting this weekend, President Obama is set to take a four-day journey to India. There are no major goals for this trip, other than relationship-building. The cost of this trip has been reported up to $200 million a day. Is this a true record, and is the trip worth it.

Obama India trip cost might be over-documented

One Indian news outlet reported the cost of the Obama India trip at $200 million per day. The expense of the trip is something the White House won't release. Estimating $200 million each day is probably just a little too high though. The India trip cost rumor had been addressed by White House spokesman Tommy Vietor:

“Due to security concerns, we are not able to outline information associated with security procedures and costs, but it is safe to say these numbers are wildly inflated.”

India somewhere Obama went for partnership building

The four day trip to India was made by Obama for a reason. This was so the two nations could have stronger interactions developed. A civic nuclear agreement is there between the 2 nations when about $40 billion a year is traded with the country from the U.S.. Nirupamo Rao, India's foreign minister, talked about the journey Obama made to India by saying “We aren’t at a stage in our partnership perhaps for an additional large bang, but certainly there will be positive outcomes.”

A president journeying costs a lot

The Obama India trip will surely expense various million dollars a day. A portion of the White House always has to go with the president when traveling. This is not only to ensure that they continue working while away from the office but to address any major issues that come up during the trip.
