Fast growth of Hurricane Igor

Tropical Storm Igor was recently re-classified as Hurricane Igor. By Sept. 11, it had become large enough for the distinction of hurricane status. According to CNN, it had begun as a Category Two. Igor was then graded up to a Category Four. It is still a Category Four storm within the middle of the Atlantic. The hurricane is heading in the general direction of Bermuda. The storm is still hundreds of miles away from the Leeward Islands, the nearest land masses. Another tropical storm system is in the Caribbean, Tropical Storm Julia. Julia was briefly classified a Category One hurricane, however dropped off right away.

Igor has eyes onto it

According to the Los Angeles Times, Hurricane Igor isn’t aimed directly at any particular landmass. It’s not known if the storm will make landfall anywhere. It is, though, moving in the direction of Bermuda. Igor has a significant chance of becoming larger. The storm could very easily become a Category Five storm. So far, no major advisories or warnings have been issued concerning the storm, however that may change soon. Recently, Hurricane Earl was off the American and Canadian coast. Earl advancing out to sea soon after approaching the East Coast.
