Troubles come from FluidNow and need EUC to fix it?

Emergency loans are needed by thousands of Americans who are living off of emergency unemployment benefits because of job loss during the recession. Extending benefits has been a huge debate since employers aren’t hiring like the government would like them to be right now. The website FluidNow, or www.fluidnow.com, is a website where more than 100,000 residents of Florida who are considered to be “long-term” jobless can get additional benefits. Numerous people had their benefits began again after they had expired, but now it seems like fluid now is not so fluid for many that apply.

FluidNow needs to move faster to serve customer base

The answer you will get when calling fluidnow’s 800-204-2418 is a pre-recorded “call back later” message, as outlined by an unemployed individual in Florida. The unemployed individual got an AWI employee after numerous attempts, and the employee said there was no information about how extension benefits could be received. AWI Director Cynthia Lorenzo assured that benefits would be given out to residents who applied, although guidance used to come from the U.S. Department of Labor. Lorenzo said nobody knew when the guidance would come.

The EUC Fix – Hope for the hopeless

Numerous unemployed individuals are looking at getting loans or getting a part time job to help with their money problems. Some of the time this is not enough nevertheless. Plus, there’s fear the benefits already being received would shrink upon signing up for part-time work. The Emergency Unemployment Compensation Fix might be able to help. It was part of one of the most recent emergency unemployment benefits extension that made it out of Congress, reports Michigan’s MLive.com. The intention behind the provision is to “remove the disincentive for people who take part-time jobs while collecting benefits.” Struggling citizens would not have to fear having their benefits reduced in their second year of benefits, reports the Michigan news portal.

EUC Fix won’t help those within the past

The National Employment Law Protection explains that the EUC Fix can only work if your benefits ended after July 22, 2010. Benefits are limited to the people that fall in that category. For more information on the EUC Fix, visit National Employment Law Project website.
