Brandi Favre goes to prison for part in methamphetamine ring

The Associated Press accounts that Brandi Favre, younger sister to currently retired NFL star Brett Favre, was imprisoned in her Diamondhead, Miss., home. Favre, 34, is on the hook for charges including manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, transferring the substance and producing hazardous waste products, states Hancock County Sheriff’s Maj. Matt Karl. Brandi Favre was one of five persons taken into custody from an upscale Diamondhead condo on Golf Club Drive. She probably won’t need a pay day loan to make bail.

Brandi Favre and business produced large quantities of crystal meth

When the Hancock County Narcotics Task Force came to see Brandi Favre, her neighbors weren't amazed although Diamondhead is a quiet community normally. Task force director Karl spoke with WLBT3 NBC and said that the meth being produced was something the force was lead to after a sting outside Diamondhead. This prompted the narcotics unit to evacuate seven units nearby, as crystal meth production can easily cause an explosion with the flammable evaporated solvents released in production. There was a lot of drug found by authorities. It was all finished too.

"We discovered the full lab in the bathroom; it was still cooking. I think we collected pretty close to 10 grams (worth about $1,000) of finished product, which, that’s a lot of meth,” said Karl.

More getting arrested because of meth ring too

Along with Brandi Favre, David Logan, Marty Grimes, Alesha Kirkland and Carl Wynn, III, were arrested. Suspects range in age from 25 to 53. Charges anywhere from felony shoplifting to unlawful use of a weapon which happened with a drive by shooting are what Favre has been arrested for within the past.

The current mug shot of Brandi Favre isn't the first as Karl explained saying, "she's always in trouble," to MSNBC.

The retirement of Brett Favre came at a perfect time. Now he will have the time to deal with the difficulties that came with the Jenn Sterger ordeal and with Brandi Favre's troubles that his life and marriage have been dealing with.

Meth market better with cold medicines getting restricted

Meth became a lucrative black market drug after federal laws restricted the sale of cold medicines containing pseudoephedrine, reports Impact Lab. The United States Drug Enforcement Administration explains that this made for a "sub-criminal culture." That means that by selling 10 grams of crystal meth, Brandi Favre was able to bring in about $1,000 in profit.
