A brand new Barracuda could possibly be getting intended

Individuals love muscle cars. The classic Barracuda may be the next to come back. Performance cars from domestic automakers have had retro styles for some time now. There has been buzz about the return of classics for a while, and the Barracuda in particular. There’s a hitch, of course. Plymouth hasn’t existed in almost a decade.

A possible return of the Barracuda

Recently, the design head of the Chrysler organization and head of Dodge, Roger Gilles, went to the SEMA, or Specialty Equipment Market Association, trade show, according to USA Today. It’s an elite event, only for people within the auto industry. He mentioned Barracuda while he was being asked about new projects. He has been getting asked over it for a long time, and he is apparently serious about trying to bring it back. It would not be a bad idea to bring back the Barracuda, although it isn't set in stone. The Ford Mustang and Chevy Camaro both have had retro updates. There had been also a return of the Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger. These both did well. Barracuda had been made by Plymouth though. That company is long gone.

Remembering the MOPAR muscle

The Barracuda made by Plymouth had been fairly popular. This is true especially with the muscle cars that went around. Every person loved Plymouth. This had been as the cars were cheap and performed well. The first generation, from 1964 to 1966, came with either a straight or slant 6-cylinder, or a 273-cubic-inch V8, and had a base price of about $2,500. The car then transformed to a 426-inch Hemi V8 in 1967. The Hemi 426 and 440 are both remembered for how powerful they’re while one of the most valuable cars in the world right now are the rare HemiCuda convertibles. Production had been stopped in 1974.

The end of Plymouth

Since 2001, there has been no Plymouth brand. Bringing back the Barracuda would put it under the Dodge or Chrysler name. This would be the only option.
