YouCut Combines Social Networking With Government Finance

YouCut Blends Social Networking And Government Finance

A new project has been launched called YouCut. The idea is to alert voters to some of the spending cuts before Congress and get them to sound off about them. It was launched by House Minority Whip Eric Cantor from Virginia. Visitors can vote online or by text message on which cuts they think are best. The government has been running for installment loans for people with bad credit enough already, and it is no surprise financial reform is a big issue.

YouCut wants your input

When the government spends a lot more than it earns, it is troublesome to many individuals, including Rep. Eric Cantor. He wants public input, so the website has gone up looking for individuals to sound off online (sadly for Luddites) as to what spending cuts they think are best. Five new spending cuts will be offered each week, and you can choose which ones are the most egregious. Eric Cantor is, after all, the House Minority Whip, and he is lending the public his ear regarding what they want cut from the budget.

So how do i vote?

Simply go to the YouCut website. You can vote online or by text message. There will be five choices, or rather, five spending cuts that the House is considering. Simply choose the cut you’d like to see happen. For now, there’s cuts to the Presidential Election Fund, taxpayer subsidies for federal employee union activities, HUD research grants, certain welfare programs, and Community Development and Block Grants to rich neighborhoods.

Really not a bad idea

One of the amazing things about the internet is that individuals everywhere can connect and have their voices heard. One of the horrible things about the internet is it allows people to communicate with others and voice their opinions. Government spending is a large issue these days, and it probably should be. It isn’t as though it is all chump change. The government has been running a deficit for the last 19 months straight, as outlined by Reuters.
