Law And Order Gets No New Order For Episodes
The original Law and Order has been canceled after two decades. It marks the end of an era; the cop and prosecutor procedural show that takes place in and around New York City has been around since 1990. After this season wraps, that will be it according to producer Dick Wolf. The spin off shows will continue, nevertheless, along with a new one for the fall. The original show is over, but syndication and the spin off series mean the producers won’t be hurting for instant money.

Dodgers inspire Law and Order
It was announced that though Law and Order the original is facing the firing squad, hope springs eternal. According to the New York Times, a new spin off will debut called Law and Order Los Angeles. Just like the Dodgers, they are closing the New York offices and heading to California. The longest running TV drama on primetime is nevertheless Gunsmoke, and producer Dick Wolf was known to have wanted to put it out of first place.
Spin offs abound
Hardly any other show has produced as many spin offs as Law and Order. There is Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, Law and Order: Criminal Intent, Law and Order: UK and now Law and Order: LA. There were others that did not fare also. A movie is rumored to be within the works, also as a trademark infringement suit brought by Chuck Norris, as Law and Order are the names given to his left and right boots.
Other TV Shows that fell under the axe
Spring brings April Showers, May Flowers, and canceled TV Shows. Widely popular shows are no exception, as both Lost and 24 were booted from production. The Ghost Whisperer will now become a ghost itself, The New Adventures of Old Christine, and Numb3rs aren't being renewed, among others.
